AUSA Chattahoochee Valley Chapter host an annual Industry Day in Columbus, GA. Industry Day is where the MCoE informs the defense industry what desired capabilities are needed for maneuver.
Witness the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and skill during the Maneuver Center of Excellence’s Infantry Week April 5-15, culminating with the 40th annual Lt. Gen. David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition. Competitors from the U.S. Army, sister branches, and partner nations will showcase their lethality and expertise while competing in a series of combat-readiness events.
In keeping with the installation’s namesake, Lt. Gen. Hal Moore, highly skilled and disciplined teams come to Infantry Week prepared to fight and win recognizing the importance physical exercise plays in improving mental acuity.
“This week provides us an opportunity to recognize both the superior physical fitness as well as the technical and tactical expertise of the Infantry,” said Brig. Gen. Monte L. Rone, U.S. Army Infantry School commandant.
“Our events inspire competitiveness and excellence within the Infantry community, share best practices across the force, and contribute to the esprit de corps across the Infantry and the Army,” Rone said.
Infantry Week brings together the Army’s best trained and highly skilled Soldiers and provides an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and expertise within their career field. Building cohesive teams ensures the Army remains ready to defeat any adversary, whenever called, under any conditions.

The U.S. Army Armor & Cavalry Collection is pleased to announce an open house during Armor Week! The doors to the U.S. Army's largest historic teaching and research collection opens for the general public at no cost! Over 200 armored vehicles and anti-armor weapons will be on display to tell the story of the U.S. Armor Soldier and the conflicts they've fought in. Further details for each open house are posted on social media.
This year’s field will pit teams selected across the Army’s armored formations, the USMC, and international partner countries’ armed forces against each other to test tank crew maneuver, sustainment, and gunnery skills. Success will require expertise on the technical and tactical skills most critical to success in combat under conditions that will stress Soldiers physically and mentally.
The Gainey Cup Competition showcases the competence, physical and mental stamina, and competitive spirit of Cavalry Scout Troopers serving in formations that perform Reconnaissance and Security.

The Plummer Home for Homeless Veterans Annual Crawfish Boil supports the mission of the Plummer Home to restore veterans through programs, providing residential housing and assistance to those struggling with joblessness, homelessness, addictions, incarceration, and other life-altering challenges. The Plummer Home doesn’t just provide shelter, they restore veterans!

In a typical summer, we celebrate Independence Day at Fort Moore a little early! Our annual Independence Celebration provides Soldiers, their families, and our surrounding community a safe environment to enjoy a concert, a fantastic fireworks show and fun in the sun!
September 7 is the Global War on Terror Rededication. 10 names will be added to the memorial this year and recognized during the ceremony. This event is open to the public and the visitors will be among the first to view the recently installed Gold Star and Surviving Family Memorial. The Maneuver Warfighter Conference is an annual event hosted by the Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, Georgia, that gathers senior leaders and subject matter experts from across the Army, sister services and from partner nations' militaries to address current and future issues affecting the warfighting capability, training and lethality of the maneuver force.

On October 24, the National Infantry Museum Foundation is dedicating the Korean War Memorial. This memorial will feature larger than life statues of COL Puckett, General Paik Sun-yup from the Republic of Korea, and American NCO, and a KATUSA Soldier. This memorial will be the first of its kind to pay tribute to the KATUSA program.
